The first information on the building are traced in the land register of Carlo VI in the year 1721 as the Noble mansion with garden in Contrada Valverde, owned by Antonio Bussero. In the second half of the 18th century following the purchase act, by Count Cesare Cavenago, the Bussero's properties were extended to the mansion and also the house of Maria Segreda, both situated between Via Valverde, Via Stretta and the building of the Royal Finance. Antonio Bussero died in the year 1770, leaving the inheritance to his children, who sold the properties between the years 1796 and 1823 to Dame Giovanna De Caroli in Vimercati. In 1830 Dame De Caroli left to her nephew Alberico Appiani the house in Contrada Valverde. After many owners the property of the mansion ends to Enrico Redaelli of Mezzago, who starts the recent destiny of the mansion. Following the rent of the mansion by Giuseppe Gervasoni in 1885, the house with garden becomes hotel and restaurant for the first time under the name "Albergo Trezzo". In the year 1891 the nephews of Enrico Redaelli, Giovanni and Rinaldo, become the owners of the hotel were they already worked.
At the death of Rinaldo in the year 1932, the son Enrico inherited the other part of the house and reunited the complete property, becoming the house "casa Appiani".
The "Albergo Trezzo" lived its best years during the management of Maria Giussani, wife of Rinaldo, and their children. The hotel was known as the meeting point of artist, tycoons and upper class clients of the area.
