The palace was home of two families from Lombardy of noble lineage: Arese and Borromeo. Built up by will of Giulio Maria Arese in 1654, on the track of the old walls and taking within a very old tower, it was not only a simple country residence.

Palazzo Borromeo-Arese continued to be a place of big fascination, enriched by important architectural and artistic testimonies and by a park bigger than 100.000 m2, with gardens of majestic proportions.

The Palace, today owned by the municipality of Cesano Maderno, apart from being seat of the Philosophy faculty of San Raffaele (Milan), with the wonderfully painted salons, it is also a location of uncommon elegance and quality for meetings and exhibitions thanks to the magnificently painted salons.

The hotel has 40 bedrooms (22 single and 18 double), completely furnished with all the comforts of the category, to which are added complementary room coffee-services, the Welcome Drink in the Hall, and the possibility to surf the net with wireless connection from everywhere in the building.
