The Rebecchino Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Naples . It was first opened in 1890, as related by the famous German painter Christian Wilhelm Allers in his book “Beautiful Naples”, which tells how he used to stay there in 1892 and how a good traveller “… would not regret staying in a hotel in Naples near the station and lunching in one of the best trattorias in the area”.
Salvatore Di Giacomo, a famous Neapolitan writer, also mentions our hotel in Naples in his "Assunta Spina", referring to the .............. Rebecchino inn.
INTERESTING FACT: the name Rebecchino derives from “Rebecca”: a musical instrument of Arabian origin, played by young 14th century minstrels to entertain guests staying at inns.
MANAGEMENT: the hotel has always been managed by the Gentile family, which has recently refurbished the hotel in naples throughout, fitting it with all modern conveniences.
