Holmlea is a Victorian Lakeland Stone Guest House offering comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation. Take pride in looking after the guests and we can assure you of a friendly welcome in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Holmlea is in a quiet location of Bowness with only a few minutes stroll to the centre with its specialist shopping for fashion, food, arts and crafts. Bowness boasts great cafes, restaurants and pubs and is situated on Lake Windermere with the famous Windermere Lake Cruises.

A stay at Holmlea is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday and is the ideal base for visiting the many attractions within the Lake District National Park. Take a stroll around the marina or lake shore walk. There are tennis courts, crazy golf and an 18 hole pitch and putt area or just simply picnic on Glebe park and admire the breathtaking scenery across the lake.

Holmlea is strictly non smoking and has its own private car parking. Ideally located for walkers starting or finishing the Dalesway.

Children from the age of five are welcome. Not able to accommodate pets.

Room occupancy is available from 3:30 pm on day of arrival. Guests wishing to arrive early are welcome to park their car. Please notify us upon arrival. Latest check-in 9.00 pm.
