Ardencote Manor Hotel, Country Club & Spa
Ardencote Manor Hotel has become the first company in Warwickshire to win one of the County Council's new Environmental Certificates. The Hotel contacted the County Council some time ago, expressing an interest in reducing their environmental impact. Stephen Lewington, a Business Environmental Adviser with the Council, has been working with them advising on waste minimization and recycling, reducing energy consumption and environmental impact. In addition, Stephen introduced the company to a county arborist who advised on tree planting to facilitate their carbon-offset initiatives.
Cllr Martin Healey, the CC's Portfolio Holder for the Environment says, "I'm delighted with this shift in Warwickshire. Ardencote Manor is one of a growing number of companies recognizing the importance of responding to the environmental agenda, and one of the Council's key objectives is pursuing a sustainable environment.
