In this former St.Georgenbräu brewery guesthouse you find comfortable, romantic guest rooms in rustic Franconian style. The neighbouring “Bräustübla” serves in-house specialty beers. Buttenheim is famous for being the birthplace of the man behind Levi’s jeans, as well as for its centuries-old brewing tradition, and for its excellent gastronomy including its beer cellars.
The name of the market town originates from the liquid container "Butt" (the same in English), as these were used to carry water from the well.
