The Kucera Hotel is located in a significant historical building in the center of Karlovy Vary, called "Dum u trí Mourenínu", the history of which dates back to 1715. At that time, this building was owned by the well-known tinsmith Bernard Heilingötter from Karlovy Vary.
In 1806 this house was visited by the famous German poet Johann Wolfgang Goethe. It was one of his ten visits in the house. Among others he met here his good friend Amalie von Levetzow and her two-year-old daughter Ulrika.
In 1909 this 150-year-old house was pulled down and the new Art Nouveau-style house was built on the same spot. The construction was performed by the famous architect Bedrich Ohman from Prague, the constructor of Zámecká kolonáda (Colonnade Manor).
The latest reconstruction, improving the comfort of accommodation in the Kucera Hotel, was carried out in January 2002, in keeping with the original style of the building.
